The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover ALL
wounded and injured service members from the War on Terror, whether
physical or psychologically, with wartime quilts called Quilts of Valor
(QOV). Dakota County Star Quilters has contributed many quilts, through
our local coordinator, Page Johnson.
Home of the Brave is a nationwide project to honor
service men and women who have died while serving in Iraq and
Afghanistan. The Home of the Brave quilts are replicas of quilts
made for soldiers during the Civil War.

"This quilt was made at a retreat the Fall of 2007. I coordinated the retreat and thought making a quilt would be a way for the 12 of us to give a little back to the families of the men and women that paid so dearly for our freedom."
